Today September 12, 2018, Kore Potash operating Kola mine in Congo announces that Congo’s government has authorized them to transship potash and dispose of brine waste in a dedicated offshore area.

This new permits covering its three deposits namely Kola, Dougou and the Dougou extension projects is one of the prerequisites for the construction of the offshore infrastructure. It is valid for a renewal in 25 years time and the maritime public domain allocated for the transshipment is located in Tchiboula, 11 nautical miles off the coast, at the South of Dougou mining permit.

The license to operate the transshipment activities is one of the key approvals required for the development of the Kola project and permission to build and operate a dedicated jetty is vital to optimizing the operating costs of the project”, Brad Simpson, Kore Potash’s CEO said.

Kore Potash, listed on three stock exchanges (ASX, AIM, JSE) owns 97% of Kola project.
