Evolution of Morocco’s raspberry exports since 2019/2020

Export revenues climbed to $487 million, the third straight year of growth. Analysts attribute the performance to gains across nearly all destination markets.

The United Kingdom remained the top buyer, absorbing more than 30% of volumes, followed by Spain (23.4%), the Netherlands (18.4%), Germany (13.6%), and France (7.9%). Moroccan exporters also expanded into smaller markets such as Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Eswatini, and several Middle Eastern countries including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan.

During the season, 3,500 tons were shipped to these secondary destinations, up 60% year-on-year. With this growth, Morocco continues to consolidate its place among the world’s leading raspberry exporters. Since 2022, the country has ranked as the third-largest supplier globally, behind Mexico and Spain.
