Many Peaks Minerals announced on December 4 the start of its 2025–2026 gold exploration campaign on the Ferké and Odienné projects in Côte d’Ivoire. The Australian junior aims to advance work in the West African country, especially at Ferké, where it is targeting a first gold resource in 2026.
Chief executive Travis Schwertfeger said the team is “extremely enthusiastic” about launching the new field season with the goal of delivering an initial Ferké resource estimate in 2026 and supporting further growth beyond upcoming milestones.
To reach this target, Many Peaks plans 15,000 meters of diamond and RC drilling at Ferké, mainly at the Ouarigue prospect. Work will also include follow-up drilling on several priority targets identified on the site. Results obtained during the program will guide further drilling as needed.
While the company is optimistic, achieving a resource definition at Ferké remains uncertain for now. Such a milestone would be a key step in building the project’s potential and could eventually lead to a mine.
A successful outcome would place Many Peaks in line with recent gold discoveries in Côte d’Ivoire by juniors such as Aurum Resources (Boundiali, Napié), African Gold (Didievi), and Turaco Gold (Afema). The company also plans new surface geochemistry work at Odienné, which is at an earlier stage than Ferké.
