Endeavour Mining, a gold producer operating exclusively in West Africa, reported gold production of 1.21 million ounces in 2025, up from 1.10 million ounces in 2024. The performance, disclosed in its operational report published on Thursday, January 29, represents a 10% increase year on year.
The region’s largest gold producer operates five mines: Houndé and Mana in Burkina Faso, Sabodala-Massawa in Senegal, and Ity and Lafigué in Côte d’Ivoire. Lafigué, which entered production in July 2024, completed its first full year of operations in 2025 and made a significant contribution to group output.
Lafigué produced 187,000 ounces in 2025, compared with 96,000 ounces in 2024, helping offset lower production at Houndé and Ity. Production at Mana and Sabodala-Massawa also supported overall growth, with increases of 16% and 19%, respectively. These results allowed Endeavour to meet its production targets for the year, in a context marked by a 67% rise in gold prices.
Endeavour Mining chief executive Ian Cockerill said the group met its objectives for the twelfth time in thirteen years, generated record free cash flow, fully deleveraged its balance sheet, and delivered record returns to shareholders. He added that strong operating performance enabled the company to produce more than 1.2 mln ounces, placing results in the upper half of its production guidance.
The production performance is also significant for host countries, which benefit from tax revenues and equity stakes in mining assets. A more detailed assessment of the economic impact will follow the release of Endeavour Mining’s annual financial report. Production momentum is expected to continue in 2026, with the group targeting output of up to 1.26 mln ounces.
