Morocco eyes 18 million tourists and around 124 billion dirhams (about $13.4 billion) in tourism revenue in 2025, according to a government report accompanying the 2026 draft finance bill.
The forecast builds on the sector’s strong growth trend, with 15 million visitors recorded through September, up 14% year-on-year, the Tourism Ministry said.
Growth has been driven by investment in expanding air links and promotional campaigns for Moroccan destinations. These efforts have already led to higher arrivals, overnight stays, and foreign-exchange earnings.
Morocco hosted 17.4 million tourists in 2024. The government aims to attract more than 26 million visitors by 2030 and rank among the world’s top 10 tourist destinations.
In line with this target, the tourism roadmap calls for continued investment, new air routes, and stronger partnerships with key industry players such as tour operators and online travel agencies.
