ExxonMobil Egypt announced on October 7 a strategic partnership with the tech firm Octane to modernize Egypt’s transport sector by combining digital vehicle optimization tools with traditional fuel and maintenance services.
Under the deal, Mobil maintenance services will be offered across ExxonMobil’s nationwide network of service stations, while Octane will roll out its digital optimization platform at those sites.
The initiative seeks to boost efficiency and service quality in a sector crucial to Egypt’s economy. It supports the government’s digital transformation drive, which focuses on modernizing key industries to spur growth and job creation.
Octane’s real-time tracking and transport analytics are expected to yield significant fuel savings and enhance road safety. For ExxonMobil, the partnership also reinforces its role in supporting Egypt’s sustainability goals.
For Octane, the partnership marks a major growth opportunity. Access to ExxonMobil’s network will let the company test its technology at scale and strengthen its position in Egypt’s connected mobility market.
