(Ecofin Agency) - Thierry Normand (photo), ex-Managing Director of Total E&P Libye, is now the Managing Director of Addax Petroleum Oil and Gas Gabon, the company announced in a communiqué on 30^th September, Infos Plus Gabon reports.

A graduate of Ecole Centrale –Paris and the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises, Mr. Normand joins Addax Petroleum with over 30 years of experience in the major French oil and gas company Total.

His appointment “marks a new chapter for Addax Petroleum Oil and Gas Gabon (APOGG) and confirms the commitment of Addax Petroleum to continuously work towards the development of a sustainable and successful company in Gabon”, commented Ruud Schrama, 1^st Vice-President of the group in charge of operations and production.

Thierry Normand, who brings experience in terms of implementation and deployment of large scale projects in various countries, noted that his appointment comes at an “important moment in the history and life” of Addax Petroleum.

Addax Petroleum, a subsidiary of the Sinopec group since August 2009, is a multinational focused on the operation and production of petroleum and gas, with assets in Africa, the Middle East and Northern Sea.
