(Ecofin Agency) - Today August 22, 2018, the British exploration firm Sound Energy announces that it just completed its 2D seismic acquisition program over 2,850 linear kilometers in Eastern Morocco. According to its explanations, the program has been completed within the set budget with no time wasted.
This 2D seismic acquisition program falls within the framework of the firm’s plan to dig three wells (TE-9, TE-10, and TE-11) by the end of this year. At the end of this program, Sound Energy announced that apart from the targeted structures, it discovered a new one in the Palaeozoic structure to the North West of the structural-stratigraphic play.
While efforts for the monetization of the gas in TE-9 well are ongoing, Sound Energy indicates that it has finalized the preparation for the TE-10 well. This well will target a high impact structural-stratigraphic play in the TAGI reservoir with a recoverable volume estimated at 2.6 Tcf. The drilling should start next month as announced in a statement published in February 2018. As for the drilling of TE-11 well, it should start in November 2018.
