Victoria Oil & Gas has announced that its Cameroon gas producing and distributing subsidiary, Gaz du Cameroun (GDC), has started the drilling of the development wells La-107 and La-108 in the Logbaba gas field.
According to the company, the wells should cost $40million and the campaign should be completed in the Q2 of 2017. Both wells are expected to be drilled directionally from a drilling pad on the nearby Logbaba processing plant and will be connected to this facility upon completion.
The wells are planned to be production wells completed in the Logbaba formation in Douala and being drilled by Savannah Oil Services Cameroon using its Komako 1 rig. Both wells are required to meet the rising market demand for gas in Douala, Energy Voice reports.
The Logbaba gas field is located in Douala. One of the wells, La-107, will match the La-104 well drilled in 1957 while the other well, La-108, will be a step-out well drilled into a target that is anticipated to increase Probable reserves.
