Emas AMC has awarded Rana a diving services contract for the installation and hook up of the new floating, storage and offloading (FSO) vessel Gaza, offshore Libya.
The vessel is to replace the FSO Sloug at Bouri Field, offshore Libya. The Bouri field is part of Block NC 41. It is situated 120 km from the Libyan coastline in the Mediterranean Sea in a water depth of 158 m. The field contains a central processing platform DP4 and satellite platform DP3 in water depths of 170m.
Emas AMC is to take care of the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the Bouri field’s new offshore facilities while the diving services will be performed with Rana’s mobile saturation diving system AF01 which will be fixed on board EMAS’ Lewek Toucan vessel. Lewek Toucan is a state of the art vessel with dive support capabilities and lodgings for a crew of 100.
According to Rana, installation works on the field are scheduled to begin either at the end of March or early April 2016.
Eni is the operator of the field alongside National Oil Corporation of Libya, Offshore Energy Today reports.
