In Nigeria, following the successful completion of the Aje-5 production well, Panoro Energy has announced that the Aje-4 well previously drilled in 2008 has also been completed as an oil production well.
The Aje-4 and 5 wells situated in the Aje field on the OML 113 licence offshore Nigeria, have been perforated in the Cenomanian oil-bearing zones with encouraging signs of well productivity based upon the short flow-backs that were done during the completion programs.
The two wells have witnessed the installation of Subsea trees and are currently suspended to be connected to oil production facilities before the start of production.
The independent E&P Company is, however, positive that the well would meet its per day production guidance, Energy-pedia reports.
“We are very pleased to have now successfully concluded the well operations phase of the Aje Cenomanian oil development and are encouraged with the reported well results. We have achieved a major milestone to de-risk the project and are looking forward to starting commercial production towards the end of January 2016, following which we can begin generating positive cash flow” John Hamilton, Panoro Energy CEO said.
