Production is still limited in Libya making the country produce about 440,000 bbls/d of crude oil chairman of the country’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) revealed at the 4th Libya Oil and Gas Forum in London.
Clashes between two rival governments in the country, have kept the country’s oil output below the 1.6 million bbls/d it used to produce before Muammar Gaddafi’s fall in 2011. As a result of this major oil export ports were shut in December due to protests over jobs and oil pipeline blockades by armed groups in Libya.
The NOC has since then been making efforts to reopen the ports, Hellenic shipping news reports.
