Tlou Energy Ltd on Thursday announced that it is witnessing excellent progress at the Lesedi CBM Project, in Botswana, where well testing is presently in progress on the Selemo wells.
According to the company, successful well testing operations at the Lesedi CBM Project have been enlarged to include the Selemo 2 and Selemo 4 wells, following the start-up of tests on Selemo 1 in Q1.
“Excellent progress is being made in the field. The decision to expand the testing to include three wells rather than the initial one well was taken following the results observed while flowing gas from Selemo 1 only and the excellent communication being observed between all the Selemo wells,” Gabaake Gabaake (photo), Tlou acting managing director said.
He added that the company had been advised to follow the initial plan to only flow gas from Selemo 1 before proceeding to the other wells, but, the production data gotten from Selemo 1 had shown that there was a possibility to bring all the three wells on stream.
“Although still at an early stage, the data gathered to date is very promising and is some of the best we have seen since we commenced flow testing. As a result we remain excited and confident of delivering a sustained gas flow shortly,” he told Proactive Investors.
