Nigeria LNG has announced that one out of its six production trains at the Bonny Island plant is at present going through maintenance.
According to the company’s spokesman, Tony Okonedo, the maintenance commenced on January 25 and end in the first week of April. He added that there are currently no production difficulties.
When operating completely, the Bonny Island facility’s six trains produce 22 million tonnes per annual of liquefied natural gas, from approximately 3.5 bcfpd of feedgas intake. It has supplied dealt with the likes of Repsol and BG Group. Furthermore, the facility sells LNG cargoes on the spot market.
NLNG is a joint venture between Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC with 49%, alongside Shell with 25.6%, Total with 15%, and Eni with 10.4%, LNG World news reports.
