Foxtrot International has concluded a four-year $850 million field development programme on Block CI-27, offshore Ivory Coast.
The two new gas fields on the block; Marlin and Manta, have begun operation after a four-legged manned platform was installed including related processing and pipeline facilities as well as the drilling of one exploration and seven production wells.
Gas output reached 170 Mmcfpd last month while the production of oil and condensates from the block reached 3,000 bpd compared to last year whereby gas production reached 145 Mmcfpd, while the production of liquids 1,140 bpd.
The newly installed platform, boosted Block CI-27's gas and liquids handling capacity and increased the reliance of gas deliveries to the power sector.
RAK Petroleum through Mondoil Enterprises, has a one-third ownership of Foxtrot International, which operates Block CI-27 with a 24% direct stake, alongside PETROCI with 40%, SECI with 24% and ENERCI with 12%.
Foxtrot International has also pointed out significant additions to the gas reserves and contingent resources on Block CI-27 all through the four producing fields. The company expects the reserves certification analysis by an independent petroleum engineering firm to be completed soon, Energy-pedia reports.
