The Ivorian State wants to raise $1.2 billion (about CFA600 billion) on the international market to finance its current budget.
The operation was launched last February 27 by Amadou Gon Coulibaly (photo), the Prime Minister. In this regard, it has planned a roadshow in several European capitals.
The country’s 2018 state budget is CFA6, 756 billion (nearly $11 billion). The government anticipates CFA3, 406 billion in tax revenues and CFA1, 285 billion from development partners.
In 2018, the Ivorian government plans to raise a total of CFA1.3107 trillion on the international and regional financial market. On the WAEMU market, the country is one of the few very successful countries.
For the record, back in 2017, the Treasury mobilized CFA1, 296.8 billion.
