Today, in Dakar, the Agricultural and rural prospective initiative (IPAR) and the National Council for Rural Collaboration and Cooperation (CNCR), launch the action research project named “Promotion d’une gouvernance foncière inclusive par une amélioration des droits fonciers des femmes au Sénégal”, a statement reveals.
“This project aims to contribute to the improvement of women’s access and control on land and their participation in decision-making institutions for responsible and sustained land governance, in a context of high land acquisition,” explained DR. Cheikh Oumar Ba, IPAR’s executive director.
A hundred representatives of women’s organizations and parliamentarians, as well as State and funders’ representatives, will participate in the project, set to last 3 years.
