Land grabbing issue is one of priority concerns in Morocco and the government plans drastic measures to address the situation. Mohammed Aujjar (photo), the minister of justice, revealed.
Speaking at the meeting of the Land and Property grabbing Monitoring Commission, the official pointed out “the need to continue mobilization to fast track the entry into force of the legal and legislative measures in order to combat property spoliation. These measures were taken given the growing number of victims and the delay in complaints’ handling,” according to comments reported by La Quotidienne.ma.
The Minister also indicated that measures are being taken to speed up the numerous land-grabbing-related legal proceedings underway. Let’s note that King Mohammed IV already announced such measures during a media apparition noticed in 2016.
