Friday, 12 January 2018 08:25

AVIC’s officials, a Chinese aviation company revealed in a statement that the model MA60 is now used in 7 Central African countries with 14 aircrafts which provide regional links.

In a statement published by Chine Nouvelle,Tan Ruisong (picture), AVIC’s head, said: “Aviation is a high-end industry and a key component of cooperation between countries, along the Belt and Road, to foster their connectivity and industrial cooperation” .

He emphasized that AVIC, as one of the leading actors of the Chinese aviation industry, will continue to supply air services and products, as well as “air transport solutions, by developing a silk road in the sky”

By September 2017, there were 108 MA60, supplied to 18 countries, which enabled to interconnect 300 destinations worldwide.

MA60 models are in Cameroon, Burundi and Congo. For maintenance issues, a technical support center and a maintenance center have been set up. Chine Nouvelle notified that three spare parts centers are also under construction.

In addition, another China-Africa aviation cooperation program is under way.

An after-sales service which has been put in place is subject of criticism in many African and Asian countries.
