Côte d’Ivoire is reinvigorating land management. Indeed, after having announced more speed in the land-related process, the minister of construction, housing, sanitation and urbanism, Claude Isaac Dé (photo) set last May 16 the consultative committee that will price public land acquisition.
“This Commission, headed by the Managing Director of Urban Planning and Land Management, Kouamé Alexandre, is charged to propose the prices for public land acquisition across the country. Among others, it will set prices in line with market value trends, revitalize the Urban Land Accounts (CTU), and boost the economy,”Abidjan.net reports.
Mr. Dé pointed out that “the current prices applied for land transfer date from the 1970s and 1980s” adding that commission members will submit their conclusions at the end of July.
