The Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC) plans to organize jointly with the Egyptian trade ministry, a trade mission in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) next July, as part of its strategy to expand into the African market. Egypttoday reports.
“The mission will include representatives of 18 companies of electric industries, car components and metalwork,” said EEC’s Executive Chairwoman Maha Saleh. According to the manager, the EEC wants to increase exports to $3 billion by the end of the year stressing that trade exports have grown since the end of 2017. Moreover, she pointed out that engineering industries exports grew by 7.7% to $797 million in the first four months of this year, compared to $740 million the same period last year.
