Côte d'Ivoire-China: a portfolio of projects worth over $7 billion

In a press conference held on Monday, the Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi revealed the key points of the China-Cote d'Ivoire partnership.
"At the moment, our two nations are working on a dozen projects worth $2.5 billion",said the Chinese diplomat. "And if we include projects that are currently being discussed by a respective firms, this figure exceeds $7 billion.This shows promising prospects for the China-Cote d'Ivoire cooperation,he added."
Expressing himself on the occasion, President Ouattara said his country is willing to support and take part to the "one belt one road" project launched by Chinese President, Xi Jinping, in 2013. Let us recall that the "Belt and Road" initiative aims at building a commercial network and infrastructures connecting Asia, Europe and Africa.
