Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), Mozambique’s national oil company plans to raise $2 billion this year to refinance two oil development projects operated by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (USA) and Italian Eni SpA (Italy). This was announced by Omar Mitha, the CEO of ENH.
During an interview with Bloomberg, the official indicated that ENH should begin a roadshow next month in South Africa, Asia, and Middle-East. For this purpose, the company hired the financial advisers Lazard Frères SAS and Lion’s Head Global Partners as well as the French bank Société Générale.
Let’s note that income generated from these two oil projects should allow Maputo to pay back a $2 billion trade external debt whose maturity ended since 2016.
