Kenya: Dimension Data selects Telco Systems to improve its Ethernet network
Thursday, 03 December 2020 05:10

Technology service provider Dimension Data has entrusted Telco Systems, the innovative solutions provider, with the mission to upgrade its Ethernet network in Kenya. The contract, which was unveiled on Monday, November 30, 2020, is expected to end early next year.

In a context where the demand for connectivity is exploding - it increased by 5.1% between April and June amid the lockdown measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic - the collaboration between Dimension Data and Telco Systems takes on its full importance. It will allow Dimension Data to see its Carrier Ethernet network capacity double as well as the speed of its Internet services for local businesses and home users.

“This network upgrade project clearly demonstrates the importance of network expansions for delivering reliable connectivity in emerging markets and ensuring business continuity as the demand for bandwidth continues to rise," said Ariel Efrati, CEO of Telco Systems.

According to Dimension Data, this project aligns with the company’s ambition to improve the customer experience. “Our strategic partnership with Telco Systems, which spans over a decade and across multiple upgrades, is a key factor in the success of our network operations," said Richard Hechle (picrtured), Managing Director of Dimension Data, East and West Africa.
