Côte d’Ivoire’s IT and telecommunications regulatory agency (ARTCI) and the National Agency of the Universal Service of Telecommunications / ICT (ANSUT) signed a MoU with TRA, the United Arab Emirates’ telecommunications regulator on November 2, 2018. This was on the third day of the conference of plenipotentiaries of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) which would be held till November 16, 2018, in Dubai.
Thanks to this agreement, TRA would exchange its expertise in terms of telecommunications regulation with its Ivorian peer. It will also take the opportunity of this agreement with ANSUT to acquire adequate solutions for improvement of the United Arab Emirates’ coverage in telecom services.
According to Lacina Koné, the Ivorian prime minister’s IT adviser, who was representing Côte d’Ivoire’s ministry of digital economy during the signing, this collaboration is the acknowledgment of the important progresses made by Côte d’Ivoire in the past eight years in the IT sector in particular, by the United Arab Emirates.
