Africa Mobile Networks (AMN) has extended its servicing agreement with Vanu Inc. for the provision of more than 2,500 mobile network infrastructures.
This will increase the number of infrastructures AMN ordered within the past two years to 3,000.
Andrew Beard, CEO of Vanu Inc. estimates that while mobile operators have increased their network coverage, there are still 1.2 billion people without network coverage.
For AMN and Vanu Inc. these mobile network infrastructures will provide network access to those people.
This is a “significant opportunity for our organizations to positively affect more communities in more countries in the months ahead,” Andrew Beard explained.
For years now, AMN has helped provide telecom access to more than 1.1 million people.
