Mobile Virtual Network Operator Promobile has officially kicked off operations in Senegal with the indicative 75. The operator is a sister company of Sirius Telecom SA owned by Senegalese businessman Mbackiyou Faye.

This new operator is expected to help cut telecom tariffs and improve service quality. It is backed by the network of the mobile operator Free. According to Mbackiyou Faye, the launch of Promobile aligns with the specifications imposed by the Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority (businessman). “We are soon launching on the market attractive services at competitive rates,” Mr. Faye said.

In addition to the sale of SIM cards as well as mobile voice and data bundles, the company also plans to offer a fixed telephony service and set up a call center to offer high-quality customer service.

Mobile Money is also a sector in which Promobile wants to invest. The company plans to launch the Procash service for this purpose, which will allow for various electronic transactions including money transfer and e-payment.
