Mauritius-based company Cybernaptics, which specializes in providing ICT support services, Software Development, IT consulting and Data and Telecommunications Infrastructure support has become Cybernaptics Africa. This name change is part of the company’s Africa expansion plans which has already seen it enter the South African and Kenyan markets.
The objective is to get closer to customers and strengthen their presence in Southern and Eastern Africa. In this wake, the company has appointed Peter McLachlan as the new International Sales Director. Former account manager at Zebra Technologies, a manufacturer of mobile terminals, printers, barcode scanners and RFID chips, McLachlan has revealed that cloud and mobility will be the areas Cybernaptics Africa will focus on in Africa.
“If we replicate what has been done in Mauritius and provide these solutions in Africa, it will give a lot of visibility and growth to the company,” he explained.
According to MD Viv Padayachy, through this expansion operation, the company is “looking for new opportunities for sustainable growth.” He indicated that the Mauritian market offers a “limited field of action regarding its size” and thus limits the potential developed by Cybernaptics after ten years of activity.
