He also mentioned: “We redefined our business strategy to focus on the growing demand for digital marketing services in Africa as we believe we can set the tone in future mobile developments that occur on the continent.Understanding our market gives us a competitive advantage and a pan-African authority role and allows others to come in and join us. Therefore we wanted our new identity to be more powerful and aligned with our African origin.”
With the help of Brand Communications, a communications agency that exists to build iconic African brands, Bakayoko has conducted the rebranding of DAT. He added, “When designing our logo, we focused on our acronym DAT which is short but strong, powerful and multilingual. Using the “A” to symbolize Africa at the centre of everything we do and the D and T to be the balancing support. The colours go from a blue to an African yellow-orange to show positive transformation and growth.”
