Sunday, 25 September 2016 19:15

Africa’s first edition of the International IT fair, AITEX, (Africa IT Expo), which began last Wednesday on the sidelines of the Casablanca international fair, ended on September 24, 2016, on a topic focused on universities.

This first edition was punctuated by debates, expositions, meetings, workshops, conferences, business meetings, and was under the theme: “Digital transformation, key to development”. Professionals and experts from the IT sector all throughout the event discussed the various aspects of digital transformation, starting from its bases, moving unto business successes, e-Gov, Industry 4.0 or innovative ecosystems..

Now, all eyes are turned toward the next edition which is to take place from Sept 27th to 29th, of the coming year. The fair’s organizer, the APEBI (Moroccan federation for Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Off-shoring), aims to make it an annual event, according to its president Saloua Karkri Belkeziz.

Aitex 2016, organized under the auspices of King Mohammed VI, is the first platform for innovation and digital transformation. It is the last event to precede the COP 22 which will begin on November 7, 2016, in Morocco.
