The government of Egypt, via the Information Technology Development Agency (ITIDA), has signed a cooperation agreement with Juniper Networks. The company specializing in the provision of network solutions and technologies will help the country develop a more skilled ICT human resource.
Document was signed June 23 by ITIDA's Acting CEO, Hala El Gohary, and Juniper Networks' CEO, Rami Rahim (photo), in the presence of Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
For Egypt, which enters the fourth industrial revolution, the aim will be to improve Egyptian human skills, improve knowledge and develop talent and qualified personnel working in the ICT sector.
ITIDA and Juniper Networks have agreed on a comprehensive educational program and content based on the company's current best practices. They also agreed to promote knowledge and academic content; to provide undergraduate students and graduates of Egyptian universities and educational institutions with a set of specialized technical skills; and to increase the number of people trained to work in ICT, particularly in services and networks.
The two companies also planned to carry out a number of initiatives to develop technology projects and services for citizens, as well as to improve government services and to meet the growing demand for ICT services and solutions.
