Telecommunications infrastructure operator Guinéenne de large bande (Guilab), signed a partnership agreement with Facebook for the installation of a CDN network.
According to Guilab, this is a strategic partnership because it will help improve the user experience since it will reduce cost and improve loading time.
Mohamed Diallo, managing director of Guilab, estimates that his firm is playing its role as the telecom sector’s development lever for the good of Guinea’s citizens. “Internet usage being exponential, it is crucial to have a vision for the long-term strategic development of our infrastructures and be innovative. Currently, the majority of global internet traffic is served via CDNs,” he said.
