In Ghana, the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has commenced the exportation of gasoline to Nigeria after it witnessed a boost in its production capacity from 45,000 metric tons to 60,000 tons.
Under the leadership of a new management, the TOR has been making tremendous progress which includes the successful processing of 2 million BO over three months with a financial equilibrium of $2 million.
According to the Managing Director of TOR, Kingsley Kwame Awuah Darko, the just renovated refinery is in the process of becoming the most valued national asset in the country as productions have not been ceased, since January 2016.
Chief Executive of TOR, Kingsley Kwame Awuah-Darko in October last year, announced that the employees of the company had decided to skip their November salaries in order to assist in restoring the company’s fortunes.
As a matter of fact, the measure has saved the company about GHȼ 3.8 million and had helped the restoration processes.
Awuah-Darko said the company is putting all necessary measures in place to make sure the TOR refinery restarts its full production capacity by June 2016, My Joy news reports.
