Angola was the world’s second largest supplier of oil to China in February after Saudi Arabia - OPEC

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), in its Monthly report revealed that Angola was the world’s second biggest supplier of oil to China in February after Saudi Arabia, representing 15% of all China’s imports.

According to the report, China received 8 million bopd from Angola, representing a 20% rise from February of 2015. In January of 2016, China imported 1.7 million bopd from Angola.

Angola has also overtaken Nigeria as Africa’s top oil producer twice, producing 1,778 million barrels in March thereby attaining a per day average of, an extra 18,000 barrels in February, while Nigeria’s production fell by 39,400 bpd to 1.722 million bpd.

Also the same month, the country increased its oil production again posting the largest increase after Iran and Iraq within OPEC, Macauhub reports.
