In Zambia, Engen Petroleum on Thursay announced the building of a new pipeline connecting the Engen depot in Lusaka to the government facility.
“As Engen, our priority is to supply Lusaka as well as Southern Province and Eastern Province – particularly the capital, Chipata, which accounts for a large portion of Engen’s total fuel demand,” Jean-Blaise Ollomo, Managing Director of Engen Petroleum Zambia said.
Engen has 36 service stations in Zambia. 19 are situated in Lusaka and the southern part of the country. This extra pipeline will alleviate the essentials of price and supply.
“The depot is very busy with a demand of 7 million litres of product per month.
Reducing costs, increasing supply and gaining an advantage for our largest commercial customer, will be a huge boost for our operations,” Ollomo told Lusaka Times.
Further necessary supply is presently being gotten from Ndola.
The government depot was constructed and commissioned in 2013 to assist in reaching an unvarying pump price all through the country.
According to Drikus Kotze (photo), General Manager of Engen’s International Business Division, sustainable growth in Zambia is Engen’s vision for 2016 and beyond with extreme profits associated to the company, the countries where it is active and the continent as a whole.
