(Ecofin Agency) - By 2040, the renewable energy sector might create in Morocco between 270,000 and 500,000 jobs, reveals a study conducted by the Mediterranean Forum of Institute of Economic Sciences (Femise).
According to the study, this potential will be sustained by growing interest and investment in this form of energy. Femise also said major opportunities could arise from challenges that the nation will face as it water resources will decrease.
Morocco indeed committed to invest over the next 15 years, $30 billion to develop renewable energies, bringing the share of this type of energy in its global mix to 52% over the period.
