Shittu commended the EU for making Nigeria its first point of call saying that the partnership is coming at the right time.
The European Union Vice President and commissioner on Digital Single market, Andrus Ansip, has said that Nigeria is in a good position to benefit from global trade through the export of ICTs. According to him, the partnership would further strengthen the existing relationship between both countries, aid job creation, improve access to digital goods and services and create a level market place to buy and sell, among others.
Aside Nigeria which is very important given its demography and geography, Ansip said the EU might extend the partnership to other African countries.
