  • Côte d’Ivoire plans 15 agri-tech hubs to support women in agribusiness
  • The centers will focus on processing, training, and digital tools
  • The project’s budget and timeline have not yet been disclosed

Côte d’Ivoire is preparing to roll out a network of 15 technology hubs aimed at strengthening women’s role in agribusiness, according to an announcement made on March 18 by U.S.-based tech firm Cybastion, a partner on the project.

The initiative will establish modern agricultural processing centers across 15 locations in nine districts. Each hub will include laboratories, processing units, training rooms, and exhibition spaces designed to support local economic activity and help convert raw agricultural products into higher-value goods.

The project is led by the Ministry of Women, Family and Children, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization. It aims to equip women farmers with digital tools and processing skills to help structure and expand their businesses.

The hubs will provide training, mentorship, and access to digital solutions tailored to agribusiness activities, with a focus on improving productivity and market access.

Authorities have not disclosed the total investment or implementation timeline. The project is currently in the site selection phase.

Agritech has become a growing segment within Africa’s tech ecosystem, as tools such as artificial intelligence, drones, and farm management software increasingly reshape agricultural practices across the continent.
