  • Senegal received $710,000 in donated medical equipment.
  • The equipment was provided by Al Attaa and Baitulmaal.
  • Supplies will support surgery, pediatrics, and maternity care.

Senegal’s Ministry of Health and Social Action received two containers of medical equipment on March 9, valued at CFA400 million (about $710,600). The donation was provided by the NGO Al Attaa in partnership with Baitulmaal.

According to the ministry, the equipment will support several hospital departments, including surgery, pediatrics, and gynecology and obstetrics, particularly for procedures such as cesarean sections.

The ministry said the equipment will be distributed in a targeted and equitable manner across health facilities.

The supplies will be allocated to hospitals equipped with operating rooms, based on identified priority needs, with the aim of improving patient care and supporting healthcare workers.
