(ACTIVA FOUNDATION) - As part of March 2026, marked by the celebration of International Women’s Rights Day, the Activa Foundation rolled out a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across several African countries, with a strong focus on women’s empowerment and support for vulnerable communities.
Implemented in seven countries, these initiatives represented a total investment of approximately USD 20,000 and directly benefited nearly 500 women, as well as more than 300 children. Across multiple markets, the actions addressed essential needs ranging from capacity building to healthcare access.

In Cameroon, the Activa Foundation supported the Women and Family Training Centre by providing educational equipment aimed at fostering women’s economic empowerment.
In Liberia, the intervention took the form of a donation of medical supplies and hygiene products to the Grand Bassa Medical Center, while in Sierra Leone, a sexual and reproductive health awareness campaign targeted youth and students, complemented by a symposium dedicated to adolescent health.
The Foundation also directed its efforts toward the most vulnerable populations. In Côte d’Ivoire, food aid was distributed to women survivors of violence hosted at the Maison des Femmes in Adiaké, as well as to orphaned children in Bingerville.
In Ghana, the approach was more economically oriented, with a knowledge-sharing initiative on risk management aimed at women traders and female-led groups, reflecting a commitment to fostering a culture of prevention and resilience.

In other contexts, the Activa Foundation combined material assistance with human support. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a solidarity initiative coupled psychological support with the provision of equipment such as wheelchairs and crutches for a care center in Kinshasa.
In Guinea, baby care kits were distributed in maternity centers, directly targeting young mothers.

Overall, these initiatives also mobilized around 150 female employees across the Group, highlighting strong internal engagement with the Foundation’s mission. Through its on-the-ground presence and the diversity of actions carried out during this month dedicated to women’s rights, the Activa Foundation reaffirms a locally grounded approach that combines tangible social impact with a sustained commitment to inclusion across the continent.
