(Ecofin Agency) - In Mali, the issue of women’s land access is still a priority. This was declared by the new head of the Women Associations and NGOs coordination in Mali (Cafo), Dembélé Oulematou Sow, who was quoted by Pressafrik.
Ms. Sow, who spoke after her appointment on December 30, 2017, also listed among priorities she will focus on during her mandate issues such as women's access to education, basic services, public services and the fight against women abuses.
In Mali, women's access to land and means of production is severely hampered by customary considerations. Challenges that civil society actors like Cafo are tackling.
