Publicis Groupe Africa has appointed Jonty Fisher as its new Chief Strategy & Integration Officer, the company announced on Tuesday via a statement on Bizcommunity and its official LinkedIn page. The move is aimed at consolidating the strategy of the integrated communications network, which is the African subsidiary of the global advertising giant Publicis Groupe, present in over 100 countries with more than 108,000 employees.
Koo Govender, CEO of Publicis Groupe Africa, called the appointment strategic. “Jonty has a proven ability to navigate complex challenges with clarity and creativity, and I am confident that his leadership across a broader canvas will help our Groupe, and our clients, thrive in an era where connection and collaboration matter more than ever,” Govender said.
Fisher, the former Senior Vice President for Communications at Publicis, will be tasked with unifying the group's expertise under its "Power of One" model to offer clients integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
The reorganization comes as the African media and communications market is experiencing strong growth, driven by digital advertising and a young, connected population, according to consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The firm's "Africa Entertainment and Media Outlook 2025-2029" report stresses that groups must integrate their offerings to fully capitalize on this momentum.
With the African advertising market estimated at $10.49 billion in 2025 by Statista, integration represents a key competitive advantage against both local and international rivals.
