(Ecofin Agency) - The Radio Télévision Africaine (RTA) will be officially launched during autumn 2015.

Eugénie Diecky, famous presenter of numerous radio programs on Africa N°1, is the developer of this Pan African television channel which will at first broadcast its programs on Internet before being available on satellite bundles.

Program clips are already available online. Eugénie Diecky is confident that her channel will "create a revolution on the African television scene". How? "My answer is that I have been a presenter, journalist and program director for Africa N°1 during 25 years and this great media has taught me the importance of performance. After so many years working with them, I wanted to be an active part of a movement which is progressively taking roots within millions of Africans living on the continent but also within the diaspora. For 50 years, Africans have watched the Western world with admiration. Today, it is the opposite: Africans are in awe of Africa and have understood that it is from their continent that will spring a better world order. Thanks in part to this "second screen" revolution that is Internet and which allows us to produce programs revealing the ingenuity of Africans", she replied.

Her second asset are the "new programs" which RTA will offer. An African in the world, Let's have supper in the family, Chic Shock Cheque, Front Line, I am 20, View on the world, News of History, she lists. She is also planning to work with the support of a qualified team. "I work with a team of highly motivated and optimist professionals for whom having the spirit of excellence and being of service to others are leitmotivs. This is the key to succeed and make a difference. RTA will also broadcast through conventional means by establishing itself in Western and Central Africa", she revealed.

Questioned by the Ecofin Agency on the name of her channel similar to the one Abdoulaye Wade intented to launch during his tenure as president of Senegal, she declares not having any knowledge of the project of the ex-president. She nevertheless acknowledges that Abdoulaye Wade, "like Omar Bongo Ondimba, had the qualities of a visionary".

Ecofin Agency provides daily coverage of nine key African economic sectors: public management, finance, telecoms, agribusiness, mining, energy, transport, communication, and education.
It also designs and manages specialized media, both online and print, for African institutions and publishers.
