(Ecofin Agency) - Oryx Energies has launched 16 new service stations in Mali, bringing its total number of stations from seven to 23.

The service stations located in Bamako, Kayes, Koutiala, Ségou and Sikasso, have established more than 150 new jobs, including about 200 extra jobs in the transport sector.

We are pleased to be expanding our retail network in Mali. This enables us to bring high quality fuels and Oryx Energies lubricants to a growing number of consumers across the country, while creating valuable new jobs. Energy and jobs are essential to social and economic development,” Jean Claude Gandur, Chairman of parent company AOG said.

Oryx Energies has been present in Mali since 2009, responding to the energy needs, thereby placing the company as one of the leading retail brands in the country.

It delivery fuels, lubricants and bitumen to industry, mines, the construction and transport sectors in the country, and attends to local consumers via its retail outlets, as well as a network of local distributors and partner garages, Petroleum Africa reports.
