(Ecofin Agency) - The Cameroonian minister of Energy and Water, Basile Atangana Kouna, has launched an invitation to tender in two parts, for the recruitment of contractors to undertake the construction of two mini solar plants in Central and Southern Cameroon.
The energy structures, equipped with production capacity respectively of 3.2 MW and 4.5 MW, will be built in the towns of Ekoumdoum, close to Yaoundé, the capital and Mengon, in the Meyomessala arrondissement.
Based on the invitation published by Minister Atangana Kouna, the works which will cost FCfa 50 million (with a financing from the Public Investment Budget 2015) should be handed over within a maximum period of five months, after the signing of the contract.
Interested parties have until 27 August 2015 at 11 A.M., to hand in their applications to the Markets unit of the General Affairs office in the ministry of Energy and Water in Yaoundé.
