• Chad’s ADETIC partners with 2iE to train professionals in digital technologies.
• Deal includes training, intern exchanges, and joint research.
• ENASTIC-2iE pact supports academic cooperation.
Chad's Agency for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies (ADETIC) has partnered with Burkina Faso's International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE), a private training center in Ouagadougou, to train Chadian professionals in digital and advanced technologies.
The framework agreement establishes three main pillars: training Chadian professionals in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, hosting Burkinabe interns within ADETIC, and developing joint applied research projects. These projects will focus on digital governance, local innovation, and sustainable development. Additionally, Chad’s National School of ICT (ENASTIC) and 2iE signed a separate collaboration protocol for academic exchanges and co-developed programs.
Formalized during the official visit by Chadian Minister of Telecommunications, Boukar Michel, to Ouagadougou, the agreement aims to build human capital for modernizing public administration and meeting digital economy demands. Through this partnership with 2iE, Chad seeks to accelerate the professionalization of its workforce, often limited by a lack of specialized training infrastructure in the country.
The partnership comes as many African nations digitize public services. The success of these reforms largely depends on available local technical expertise. Investing in qualified professional training is thus a strategic priority for countries like Chad, facing both a shortage of specialized human resources and increasing e-government needs.
