(Ecofin Agency) - With a balance sheet of $5.456 billion and net banking product of $351 million, BGFIBank group is the leader of banks in the Central African region, according to the yearly ranking of 200 banks elaborated by Jeune Afrique based on their 2017 financial results.

Its Gabon subsidiary is the second of the ranking with a balance sheet of $1.977 billion and net banking product of $113 million.

In the same vein, BGFIBank Congo jumps to the sixth place in the Sub-region with a balance sheet of $1.060 billion and $68 million as net banking product.

This leadership is likely to be consolidated with the publication of the 2018 financial results: “2018 has been marked by strong growth of our activities with a balance sheet and net result higher than the 2017 performances,” Henri-Claude Oyima (photo), CEO of BGFIBank, said to Ecofin Agency on January 3, 2019.
