Gabon’s government has adopted four draft laws which allow the country to borrow from the Reconstruction and Development Bank and French Agency for Development (AFD).
The first draft law concerns the borrowing of a €57.7 million (FCFA37.8 billion) loan from the Reconstruction and Development Bank to insure supply of power and drinking water to Gabon’s rural areas.
Under the second draft law, the State is to borrow €94.5 million (FCFA61.9 billion) from RDB to expand training and quality of training in technical and professional institutions.
Under the third and fourth draft laws, Gabon will be able to borrow €154 million (about FCFA10087 billion) from AFD to develop an education-focused investment program and €50 million (about FCFA35.37 billion) to finance investment projects in health structures and reinforce skills of health personnel.
