Diaverum, a company specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases, enters the African market, first implanting in Morocco. Statistics show more than 25,000 people suffer from such maladies in the country.
As part of its expansion, the renal healthcare specialist has partnered with the Marrakech Hemodialysis Center (CHM) to strengthen its nephrology care offer to patients in this country.
Diaverum has 380 centers throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East, where it supports nearly 36,000 people.
“We are pleased to start our development in Morocco in collaboration with the CHM led by Dr. Idrissi and his team,” commented Dimitris Moulavasilis, Managing Director of Diaverum.
In Morocco, nearly 3,000 people affected by renal diseases require dialysis treatment every year, according to the association Reins, which fights against the disease.
