Camair Co, Cameroonian airline, seeks Sales and Marketing manager

Wednesday, 22 July 2015 09:13

Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair Co), the Cameroonian airline, has invited applications for the hiring of a sales and marketing manager. According to the company, this “professional” must be “motivated”, have a 10-year experience in marketing and sales, and “high management skills”. The applications must reach the company latest by 23 July 2015.

The Sales and Marketing job at Camair Co is certainly one of the most unstable after that of Managing Director. Indeed, the five managing directors who have been appointed at the head of this public airline company between 2006 and 2015, have practically recruited as many sales and marketing managers.

This instability is certainly the result of the performance of the company, which has not really succeeded in putting its stamp on the air transport market in Cameroon, since launching its activities in March 2011.

Indeed, even though Camair Co is the 3rd air transporter in Cameroon (with 11% market share), behind Air France and Brussels Airlines, this position is linked to the fact that the transporter is the only one (out of over 20 companies in operation) to offer domestic flights in the country.

In addition to having a fleet limited to three operational aircraft, the financial statements of the public capital company officially report a debt of over FCfa 30 billion, and as much for its investments needs.
